Year 5

Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

During the school year, the children will be covering a range of units as part of their studies. From mountains to Chinese art, Ancient Baghdad to astronomy; the children will learn about exciting topics to grab their interest.

Our Maths and English lessons cover all of the necessary objectives to best prepare the children for the end of Year 5 and begin preparing the children for their Year  SATS.

Please take a look at our Year 5 Curriculum Maps for further details about what the children will be doing at school each half term.

We are also busy planning some exciting activities for the children; not least Year 5 swimming lessons and Bikeability.

With thanks,

Year 5 Staff
