Welcome to Reception!
During the school year, the children will be discovering lots within their learning.
The children will complete a wide variety of activities based around the objectives within the Early Years Curriculum at our school. Please see the Curriculum Overviews for more details.
The children have access to our outdoor learning space and complete daily 'Discover and Do' activities that build on the teacher led learning within the classroom.
From learning about transport and journeys, to space and the universe and kings and queens; there is a lot to engage the children in their learning.
Our Reception teachers also deliver the phonics program 'Sounds Write' which enhances the children's language development and supports early reading. Please see the Phonics tab for further details.

Weekly Home Learning activities:
At the start of every half term, children will receive a Pick n Mix of activities for them to choose from each week.
Reading with your child:
Please ensure you read with your children daily. Children can record their reading in their Yellow Reading/Home Learning Record Book.
Your child will also come home with some phonics sounds to practise and an early reading book.
